Look to Aeroflow Performance when it comes to a fast-flowing fluid transfer pump. This is ideal for transferring your light viscosity liquids such as fuel from a 20 litre jug or jerry can at home or at a racetrack. This transfer pump which takes a 18v lithium Milwaukee or DeWalt battery (not included) makes it very portable unit at a racetrack or home garage. With a set of 12v DC alligator clip included for a backup in case the batteries run out of juice. Each pump is equipped with a flexible corrugated intake hose and several different adapters to suit a variety of different plastic fuel jugs on the market today. The discharge hose is made from durable rubber with a trigger nozzle on the end will allow you to control the flow of liquid at your hands and can be left free flowing with an auto hold option. Suitable for petrol, E85 (Remove pump after use, E85 may corrode the seals), diesel, kerosene & non-potable water flowing them at 18.9 liters per minute (5.0GPM).

• Before use, put the pumping motor into the liquid before switching ON the machine. Do not run the pump dry it will lead to premature failure.

• Operate the pump only in open, cool, and well-ventilated areas

Please follow these safety steps when using this pump with flammable liquids:

Maximize Open-Air Ventilation

• Never use it inside a closed garage: Petrol vapors are heavier than air. They will sink to the floor and pool in corners, creating an invisible, highly explosive blanket.
• Always pump outdoors: Set up your drum and vehicle or fuel tank on a driveway or open yard where breezes will instantly disperse any escaping fumes.

Guard Against the Battery Terminals

• Isolate the 12V clips: If you use the 12V alligator clip option instead of AA batteries, connect the clips to your power source before turning the pump on or placing it in the fuel.
• Avoid sparks near the drum: Connecting or disconnecting live 12V clips creates a small electrical spark. Make sure your 12V battery source is kept several meters away from the open drum and the pump nozzle.

Manage Static Electricity

• Bond the containers: Plastic fuel cells and plastic drums can build up static charge as fluid flows. If possible, ensure the drum and the receiving tank are sitting on the ground (not on a plastic truck bed liner) to help dissipate static.
• Keep nozzle contact: Keep the metal or plastic tip of the nozzle firmly touching the filler neck of the receiving tank while pumping to prevent a static discharge gap.

Know Your Fuel Type Risks

• Diesel is low risk: Diesel has a high flashpoint (>55°C) and does not easily ignite from a stray spark at room temperature.
• Petrol/E85 is high risk: Petrol has a flashpoint well below freezing (-43°C). It is constantly giving off highly flammable vapors at normal Australian outdoor temperatures, meaning even a tiny spark from the internal DC motor brushes of an unrated pump could trigger an ignition if vapors find their way inside the motor casing.
